Hosts of popular sports TV shows are using the NFL Network to stream their shows for free.
A spokesman for NFL Network said Thursday the network is providing hosting services for free to the NFL teams hosting their free-agent shows.
NFL Network announced Wednesday that it has teamed with NFL Films to stream some of the NFL’s shows for a one-week period.
The NFL Network is owned by CBS Corp. and ESPN.
The NFL Network, owned by the league, streamed a full slate of NFL games for free Thursday, and the NFL announced the same day that a half-hour show on NFL Network would be free for fans to watch for one week.
The network also released a short teaser for a half hour show on Wednesday.
The show will feature a host of NFL personalities who will be on hand to discuss their own projects and to promote new initiatives.
The network’s free-to-air schedule is set to expand in the coming months, with NFL Network’s two current games airing a full day earlier.
