Posted September 05, 2018 09:20:00The host of a popular night show on Israeli Channel 10, which was shut down in March because of the show’s violent content, is back in the country and hosting a new show.
Netanya Yael Bar-Levi is the host of the “Hamas Night Show” on Channel 10.
She is also the host and producer of a show called “The Night Show,” which has been shut down by Channel 10 since the end of March.
Bar-levi, whose real name is Eran Shaul, said that the shutdown of the Israeli TV station was a “troubling development” but that she is ready to return.
“I am here today to discuss with Channel 10 and the authorities, and to let them know that I will not stop working on this project,” she wrote in an open letter to Channel 10 executives on Facebook.
The channel suspended the night show in March after its hosts were arrested by Israeli police after they went to the Channel 10 offices in Tel Aviv’s West Bank and filmed an event with the group Hamas.
The hosts were subsequently arrested and charged with violating an order to remove their masks and faces masks.
The show’s website has also been blocked in Israel and the United States.
Bar, who is also a director of the Jerusalem Center for the Protection of Journalists, wrote on Facebook that she will continue to work on the project until the government of Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu closes the channels and bars the Israelis from accessing the channel.
