Spaniards from the northern city of Granada and the southern city of Barcelona are the best hosts for Lego Masters’ “repetiers host” series, the broadcaster said on Wednesday.
Spain’s Granada hosted the competition for a year from 2007 until last year, when it decided to cancel the series.
The broadcaster said its Spanish-language channel Granada host, which has a “spanish accent” of its own, would take the crown this year.
Spain has a large population of Roma, a group that has a higher rate of criminality than other European countries, and many of them are illegal immigrants who have been allowed to stay in the country.
“A lot of them have been brought here by the Spanish state and they are in need of help,” Granada Host Elio Rodriguez said, adding that he was proud of his hosts for keeping their accents in Spanish.
The Spanish language is spoken by nearly a quarter of Spain’s population.
Granada Hosts Elio and Maria, who are both from Spain, said they had not decided on their hosts yet, but would make the final decision when they are more certain.
“I will say, yes, I’m going to choose a Spanish host,” Maria said.
